FROM RIVER TO ROOTS: A Day in the Heart of Ghana

This full-day cultural immersion experience in Assin Manso is one that goes beyond conventional sightseeing.

Guests begin at the Ancestral River, where they encounter the history and memory of the transatlantic slave trade. From there, the experience moves into living Ghanaian culture through a traditional Akan naming ceremony, a farm and agricultural experience, Ghanaian cooking, interactive drumming and dancing, and finally an intimate community gathering under the shade of a tree with local palm wine, traditional refreshments, music and storytelling.
